Event strategist to lead company’s event portfolio, including signature BarkWorld event
Irvine, Calif. (Aug. 11, 2016) – Lumina Media™, a leading media company that connects brands with passionate audiences of enthusiasts by providing iconic content across all platforms, today announced that it has appointed Rania Leite as the company’s new vice president of events.
In this new position, Leite will be responsible for leading the company’s recognized events business, including BarkWorld, its leading marketing and digital event and experience for animal-centric social media influencers and creators taking place October 12-16, 2016, at the Loews Hotel in Atlanta.
“This appointment represents the next chapter in our ongoing commitment and investment in growing our events strategy and business,” said Lumina Media chief executive officer, Keith Walter.“We’re confident that Rania will play a pivotal role in extending the company’s events’ footprint and further establishing Lumina Media as an industry leader focused on animal-centric events.”
Leite joins the team with more than 15 years of experience in strategic event management and marketing, most recently leading events and sponsorships for IHOP and Applebee’s. Leite also led sales relations and event planning for Lieberman Research Worldwide, a custom market research consultancy.

Leite earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
